In the heart of Padua, Verde Verticale has completed a unique urban regeneration project: The Green Garden, the first vertical garden ever installed in an underground parking structure. This innovative intervention transforms the Garage De Danieli, managed by APS Holding S.p.A., into a contemporary biophilic environment, where greenery is not just aesthetic—it's a strategic solution for improving air quality, spatial comfort, and the identity of the place.
The two vertical gardens span a total surface of 110 m², hosting 2,750 living plants carefully selected for their indoor resilience, air-filtering properties, and aesthetic value. The installation integrates MVP technological modules equipped with active air filtration, capable of eliminating up to 99.8% of viruses, bacteria, and fine particulate matter (PM1). This is achieved through a low-energy system combining water washing, UVC light, and silent ventilation. Fully automated and remotely manageable, the system seamlessly connects to existing utilities, offering maximum efficiency with minimal maintenance.
The Green Garden stands as a tangible example of sustainable architecture, where the vertical garden becomes a tool for urban regeneration, architectural enhancement, and environmental innovation. A project that brings nature back to the city—proving that even the most technical spaces can be reimagined through green design.
